The Park

Norfolk Heritage Park is a wonderful mix of rolling grass areas, formal avenues, wild woodland and with a backdrop of fabulous views of the city of Sheffield.

Image There are two formal avenues - the Turkey Oak Avenue and the Lime Avenue - which are lovely to walk down and observe the fabulous colours as the trees change through the seasons.

ImageJervis Lum is the park's area of woodland which has a stream running through it. It is thought that this area is ancient woodland and it includes plant species such as wild garlic, wood sorrel, yellow archangel, wood melick and bluebells. It has a wide range of birds including great spotted woodpeckers.

Image   ImageThere are a number of sculptures around the park and we are currently designing a sculpture trail leaflet to guide visitors on a walk to see them all.

ImageWe have orienteering courses in the park suitable for different levels and fun for a family day out in the park - ask at reception for a map.
