I am glad the park car park has disabled parking spots, but they are just a token gesture if no-one is willing to monitor them. Appart from in my own car I have never seen a blue badge present on any of the dashboards. Is it not possible that staff could check them every couple of hours and at least put a note on the cars stating that they should not be parked there. For those of us whose walking is limited those spots are vital and it does no harm to the able bodied to walk a tiny bit further.

Hi Sarah!
Thank You for you feedback about the disabled parking at Centre in the Park.

We apologise for any inconvenience you may have had regarding this issue.

The disabled parking is monitored daily by the Centre's caretaker and any cars that have not got disabled badges on display, are given a slip which states the following: " These parking bays are reserved for people with disablilities. Unless you display an approved disabled badge please park in an alternative space. Is the car park is full please park on the road."

If people are in a meeting in Centre in the Park and have signed in our visitors book, we can identify them (as it asks them to state their registration number) and then ask them to move their vehicle.

There are many occasions when all of the disabled spaces are full and if such occasions arise, it is acceptable for vehicles displaying an approved disabled badge to park in an appropriate place in the park. However vehicles must observe the 5mph speed limit and display hazard warning lights due to pedestrians walking in the park. If you are unsure about where to position a vehicle in the park, so as not to block access for delivery and emergency vehicles, please speak to a member of staff and they will be able to advise you.

Thank you for visiting Norfolk Heritage Park and I hope you continue to do so in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact us again with any queries you may have!

Claire
