Claire informs me that the bluebells are out and looking great. (pity our bluebell walk is later in May! Rolling Eyes )

Now is the perfect time to walk down into the Jervis Lum and take in the fantastic sight of hundreds of bluebells filling the woods.

While you're down there, don't forget to keep a nose out for the scent of the Ransoms (wild garlic) growing all along the banks of the stream. If not out yet, the flowers grow in tall white bunches. The leaves go wonderfully in a salad, but you need to know your plants VERY well before picking anything to eat.

Legend has it that if you ever hear the bluebells ring, the leader of the country is soon to die.
